Description
The U-Anchor 2000-KEE is a lightweight rooftop attachment system consisting of a thermoplastic target membrane and an U-Anchor 2000 series plate. The plate is factory welded to the target membrane and a matching thermoplastic cover membrane is applied over the plate and is welded to the target membrane, encapsulating the plate, followed by a separator disk. The U2000-KEE provides a watertight, warranted attachment solution for KEE roofing systems. The U2000-KEE is ideal for roof assemblies that are difficult to fasten to, and provides additional tax incentives for qualifying rooftop solar installations. Additionally, the U2000-KEE acts as an effective expansion joint at each rooftop attachment point and minimizes stress to roof components.

U-Anchor Attachment
The U2000-KEE is attached to a thermoplastic roofing system by hot air welding around the perimeter edge consistent with the specified roofing manufacturer’s hot air welding specifications. (Alternative options available for mechanically attached roof assemblies.) Location and spacing of each U2000-KEE is dictated by project specific engineering.
Equipment Attachment
To securely mount your rooftop equipment to the U-Anchor, after its installed, the connection nut must be tightened to approximately 20-25 ft.-lbs. Use a calibrated torque wrench during install to ensure appropriate
results are achieved. Refer to product documentation for detailed installation and component requirements.
Testing
Results are based on plate performance only.
